July 2024 - OASYS members participated in the 25th International Symposium on Mathematical Programming (ISMP) held in Montréal. The symposium provided an excellent opportunity to present their research and engage with the global mathematical programming community.

June 2024 - OASYS members attended the Power Systems Computation Conference (PSCC), a premier event for sharing advancements in power systems computation. The conference provided an excellent platform for networking and presenting cutting-edge research in the field.

April 2024 - Adrián Esteban Pérez has won the prestigious 'Margarita Salas Falgueras' award for his work titled 'Distributionally robust stochastic programs with side information based on trimmings'. The jury highlighted the significant contribution in Operations Research, particularly in areas such as financial risk management, production planning, and the operation of electrical energy systems.

July 2023 - Summer's here and that can only mean one thing for OASYS - to get out and about sharing the results of their hard work at prestigious international conferences. Salva, Concepción, Juan Miguel, and Álvaro attended the IFORS conference in Chile. While we swelter in Málaga's heat, our colleagues are all wrapped up warm against the Chilean cold.

July 2023 - Dr. Juan Miguel Morales, leader of the Optimization and Analytics for Sustainable Energy Systems (OASYS) group at the University of Málaga, has been recognized with the VII Fundación Banco Sabadell Award for Science and Engineering. The award highlights his outstanding contributions to the development of computational tools for renewable and distributed energy resources, placing him at the forefront of his field both academically and socio-economically. April 2022 - Asunción Jiménez-Cordero attended the ceremony alongside awardees Marina Leal and Eduardo García to receive the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis award from the University of Seville. Asunción's PhD, undertaken at IMUS and supervised by Rafael Blanquero and Emilio Carrizosa, was recognized as one of the outstanding theses of 2019. Congratulations, Asunción!

January 2019 - Juan Miguel Morales was one of the awardees at the "Becas para Másteres y Ayudas a la Investigación" ceremony organized by Fundación Iberdrola.
